December 2012 Certification Training

The Mentoring Collaborative of Montgomery County provides training for agencies that incorporate mentors into their programs. By going through our certification process, agencies will receive the most up-to-date information on “the best practices” in the mentoring world. Agencies that have gone through the certification process will be well equipped to guide a successful mentoring initiative and produce the best results for the kids in their program.

AmeriCorps Program

MCMC AmeriCorp Program

The Mentoring Collaborative of Montgomery County (MCMC) AmeriCorps Program will address the AmeriCorps State priorities of helping children and youth achieve success in school and prevent them from dropping out before high school graduation. MCMC will serve K-12 at-risk youth in Montgomery County, Ohio by working with 10 member agencies who will serve as host sites. These host sites will implement a program to support 20 AmeriCorps members who will serve as mentor/service coordinators for 11 months to expand and enhance mentoring. The youthful energy, many talents, and dynamic commitment of MCMC AmeriCorps Program members will be leveraged to improve lives and create programs that will have a transformative impact.
